Girl Talk: The Way to Natural Skin Beauty

I never expected the "Girl Talk" section of my blog to blow up into a full blown segment of the blog. Actually it all started because of a picture I used for an article on Argan Oil, and how passionately the girl in the video in my argan oil article was raving to other women about it's benefits……

(I chuckled that the subject is irrelevant to me, but seems like some very important "Girl Talk").

Anyhoo, I have fun writing these articles, and I love to sift through the gazillion photos of beautiful women I have archived (a great hobby if a guy can get it into his routine).  However, my conversations on these women's subjects, from a man's perspective, can only go so far.

Enter Sonya Anderson, a blogging buddy of mine, a health blogger with great passion for wellness, who wrote a great article that I wanted to post, along with some of the gazillion female photos I have on file.

So I'm gonna step out here, and go watch the end of this football game, and my female readers can have a little "Cyber Hen Party", and check out Sonya's article, "The Way to Natural Beauty",  in this segment of "Girl Talk"……..

The Way to Natural Skin Beauty

Few people want to anything but to look their absolute best. However, the beatification process often comes with a price beyond the pocketbook to a source you may not be aware. Many skincare products come loaded with chemicals and synthetic additives that do some short-term good for your skin.

Unfortunately, the trade-off is lasting issues and poor skin health, especially if you already have sensitive or damaged skin to begin with. While all of this might be alarming, with the right approach and a level head, you can make smart decisions and keep your skin looking great, now and into the future.

Do Your Research

To start, learn more about the situation and the products your currently use. A quick look at the back of your favorite products might look like an old high school chemistry project – which is actually not too far from the truth.

As noted by Healthy Living, a Yahoo! news site devoted to promoting healthy life choices, everything from ammonium to mercury act as ingredients in common skincare products.

While that might be surprising……….

……. what is even more incredible is that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) currently holds little sway over what goes into your current favorite products.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, a non-profit launched in 2004 that seeks better regulation in the skincare industry, notes that little regulatory documentation is required before these skin products ship to market. This means that, without make a strong lifestyle change, you could be putting your dermatological health at great risk.

Put the Brakes on Chemicals

If this isn't how you want to treat your skin, start by cutting out chemically-laden products. Going through your collection now and researching ingredients might sound dull, but you won't regret learning more about what you've been putting on your skin.

As you look through the content list, look up anything that might be better suited for an episode of "Breaking Bad" than for your face and other sensitive areas. While this may leave you without many beauty care products to work with, it is a smart start that can get you on the path to beautiful skin – the natural way.

Watch out for Synthetics

If your products pass the first test, keep in mind that most skincare products, both organic and chemically altered, require preservatives and surfactants to help with texture and consistency.

Thankfully, organic variants of these ingredients are available, so you can further refine your selection by cutting out products with these unnatural additions. This might be a tough call but your skin will thank you for it later in life with radiant, natural beauty.

Find the Right Product

Chances are that this process has left you with little to work with in regards to skincare items. While making the split was undoubtedly hard, you are not in a great position to make some smart decisions.

To replace all of the synthetics and chemicals that are now residing in your garbage can, look for product recommendations from licensed physicians and other trusted outlets. Instead of rubbing mercury and isopropyl all over your skin, look for products that use green tea extract and aloe to give you the same results in a much healthier manner.

Commit to Change

Of course, the path to naturally beautiful skin isn't a limited time affair. To keep your skin in great health, you must commit to the change. This means using the right, natural products and not switching back to your old chemically altered favorites.

While this can be hard, especially if you have coupons and other reasons to revert back, think of your long-term health and try to put a value on trading that away. From that perspective, the choice is rather simple.

Enjoy Lasting and Healthy Beauty

Now that you are dedicated to the process, you can sit back and enjoy the healthy change. Chances are you might even find that these natural skincare alternatives create a better beauty result when compared to your old staples.

With this in mind, you can start working in other organic products, like make-up and bath items, to create a complete organic beauty overhaul. Regardless of how far you go in the process, working toward naturally healthy skin is an outstanding start to changing your approach to health and beauty in general.

Make your own skincare products by mixing coconut oil with different essential oils. I also cleanse my skin with a mixture of olive oil and castor oil. Love your website especially the pics of older women who are fit & healthy…motivates me to train harder!

Thanks for your comment… I know women are getting value out of skin care remedies from other women. I have some good link to skincare recipes in my article at this link https://www.gaiahealthblog.com/2014/02/08/girl-talk-d-i-y-skin-and-body-care-part-2/ .I appreciate all comments about my blog, because I take the “art of the blog” seriously, just to make my page a visually appealing place to browse for a couple of minutes.

We should not sacrifice healthy skin for beauty. We have a great opportunity to reduce exposure to chemicals with the increasing number of natural and organic skin care products on the market.

I have been thinking for a while that I should really check out the ingredients that are in my favorite skincare products, as I have read a lot of negative things about the types of chemicals that are commonly used in the products that people use everyday. However, I have been put off by reading through the long list of ingredients and have been telling myself that because all of the products that I use are for sensitive skin then I am probably alright. Nothing is going to change though unless I am the one to make changes and stick to them so tonight will be spent in the bathroom throwing out anything that may potentially do my skin more harm than good.

Its always best to make homemade beuaty products and masks. Makeup products at home is little difficult but atleast we can use home made products as skincare solutions in the form of masks, toner, scrubber, conditioner and many more. We have number of natural products there in the market that fullfills our organic makeup need.

What you share is the truth. Everyone wants to look perfect, and this make they do everything to get it. Going with the natural ingredients is a good alternative. But, sometimes it's also important to consult to the expert about the problem you had with your skin, what product you had used and tell them the skin condition you want to get.

Great share and wonderful tips too..
Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems. Get started with these five tips.

1. Protect yourself from the sun
2. Use sunscreen
3. Treat your skin gently
4. Eat a healthy diet

And the results are wonderful 🙂
