Fellow ladies, I know – sometimes, the hardest part about exercising is finding the motivation to start. Exercise does wonders for women’s health…

However, it’s impossible to achieve your fitness goals if you don’t commit and stay consistent with your workout plans.
As difficult as it may seem, you can definitely find exercise motivation and make your workouts more fun…
…check out the following tips to help you stay on track with your fitness goals:
Schedule Your Workouts
If a person really wants to stay on track with your health and fitness goals, then she has to treat her exercise regime as an integral part of her daily routine.
Schedule each workout as an important appointment that you can’t miss.

Record the specific dates and times of your workouts in your daily planner and set reminders on your phone.
You will find it easier to stick to your plan as time goes by, and exercise can become a
regular part of your lifestyle as opposed to a short-term commitment.
Fitness Apps
A great way for you to manage your workouts both on the go and at home is through a fitness app.
There are multitudes of great phone apps that you can use to set your fitness goals, track your daily progress, and watch helpful videos that walk you through training exercises.
The Nike Women Training Club is one of the most popular free options, featuring various languages and catering for users with any experience level …
…providing comprehensive drill videos that feature expert instruction for core strength, cardio, flexibility, and balance training.
You can download the Nike Training Club App from either Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Find a Workout Partner
Scheduling workouts with a friend is a great way to ensure you follow through with your plans.
It’s much harder to back out when your friends are involved: you don’t want to let your exercise partner down, right?
Your weekly workout sessions can even be a great bonding time – exercise is much more fun when you’re doing it with other like-minded women.
The energy and encouragement you get from exercising with friends and watching each other’s progress will help motivate you to do better.

Create a Workout Playlist
A good music playlist can be the driver for a successful workout. Find the right music that will pump you up and help you power through the most strenuous exercises.
Look for music beats and tempos that reflect the type of workout you are doing.
This will help set the tone for your workout and coordinate your exercise.
For example, if you’re doing intense workouts like weightlifting, then create a music playlist with heavy, fast beats that will hype you up and keep you motivated to push harder.

Incorporate Variety in Your Exercise Plan
A workout schedule with variety is always more fun. Don’t limit yourself to one type of physical activity to reach your fitness resolution.
For instance, you could do a yoga class one day, enjoy trampolining the next day…
…an outdoor hike on another and workout in the privacy of your own home on the days in between.
Working out at home provides a lot of variety due to the wide range of home gym equipment on the market.
It’s also much more convenient than traveling to the gym every other day.
Set Goals and Track Your Fitness Progress
If you want to be fitter and stronger, you must continue challenging yourself by tracking your progress.
By tracking your fitness progress, you will know what muscles you need to work on and can decide how much you need to push yourself for the next workout.
Set specific goals that you want to achieve and keep a fitness journal to measure your progress.
Ensure you know your limits so you can keep your goals realistic.
Goals that ask too much, too soon from your body only set you up for disappointment and failure.
Instead, select exercises that target common female fitness problems such as weak glutes or untoned legs…
…and set achievable, useful goals to develop and strengthen the muscles in those parts of your body.

Weight-bearing exercises that keep your bones and joints strong and healthy should be a priority for all women…
…who are usually much more liable than men to bone weakening and breakage due to osteoporosis.

Reward Your Success
Once you’ve achieved a specific fitness goal, why not treat yourself to celebrate your success?
You can even plan a relaxing girls’ day out at the park or beach on the weekend, after all your hard work exercising together.

Rewarding yourself after each achievement is a great incentive to help you stay on track with your fitness goals.
You will be more motivated to achieve each goal knowing that you get to enjoy a well-earned reward at the end.
