Plenty of new skewer recipes I wanna try this summer that I wanna share in this post….

…and you know my guilty pleasure, that being lusting after custom outdoor kitchens, this one in LA, outfitted by the baddest gourmet grillers in the land, Kalamazoo Gourmet.

[below] Grilled Mango Curry Chicken Skewers

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Love this recipe though I'm gonna have to figure out how to get/make the lemongrass paste and curry paste, though I can probably find them at an ethnic store  (click photo below for recipe)

[below] Greek Chicken Souvlaki and Rice Pilaf Plates w/Marinated Veggies + Feta Tzatziki

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Somewhat of a complex recipe, but I find those complex recipes force me for slow down, play a little music, and just enjoy the moment 🙂

[below] Spiced Salmon Kebabs

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Contrary to perception, Wild caught salmon is very low in mercury, so low, it is recommended by the Alaska Department of Healthy to be eaten in unlimited quantities, INCLUDING for pregnant women read more
(click photo below for recipe)

[below] Grilled Herb Garlic Shrimp Skewers

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Get Wild Caught shrimp, it is actually very low in toxins and mercury. However most USA shrimp is farmed/imported and high in toxins. Also, use mineral rich, healthy Pink Himalayan Salt
(click photo below for recipe)

[below] Balsamic Glazed Veggie Kebabs

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Gotta take care of my vegetarian readers 🙂
(click photo below for recipe)

[below] Grilled Scallop Scampi Kebabs with Arugula and Herb Salad

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Scallops are very low in mercury. Love the recipe, except for that "Cooking Spray" with probably has toxic ingredients. A better approach is to cook skewers on lemon slices so they don't stick to grate.

[below] Chicken Skewers with Pumpkin Seed Sauce

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Hmmmm, I really like this recipe, I'm gonna try this one this weekend!!!
(click photo below for recipe)

[below] Lamb Kebabs with Mint Pesto

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": With organic ingredients and grass fed cheese, this recipe is 5 Star Healthy as it is!!!
(click photo below for recipe)

[above and below] Spicy Peanut Chicken Skewers

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Beautiful Skewers, but I think I'm gonna try to convert this to a "Honey Dijon" sauce recipe… (click photo above or below for recipe)

[below] A good "quick read" on using Fresh Herbs to Spice Up Your Barbecue

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": Olive Oil and fresh herbs is the best 60 second Marinade, or to brush on the skewers while grilling!!! My own secret grilling weapon!!!  (click photo below to check out article)

[below] Get Creative with Spices!!!

So much you can do, and so easy to order some creative spices right off the web for your grill creations. A cool Spice website I ran across called "Spice N Tice", check them out (click photo below for their site)

[below] A good "quick read" on How to make Skewers

The Healthy Chef's "Healthy Morsel": …it's actually very easy, and so much variety, but in case you need help getting started, this is a good quick read (click photo below to check out article)

I'm in no way affiliated with Kalamazoo Gourmet, but plain and simple, they are the masters of  the "Art Form" that is Gourmet Grilling. I love their "promo" video below, always sets the right vibe for the summer's grilling!!!      ENJOY!!!

(and remember to try, if but just a little, at making your tasty grill treats a little healthier……..then you got the best of both worlds 🙂 )
