Summer grilling is over for most people, but I'll be out there all winter, grilling my Oysters, a superfood I bring into my diet to 4-6 months out the year after summer for prostate health…….

…even if those grilled oysters were not for health, they are just so damn good 🙂
And when I grab my oysters from Whole Foods every Friday after my workout, I can't resist grabbing a couple of their pre-made skewers for a late nite snack. It's gonna be a fun winter of grilling!
This rooftop area in North Dakota, outfitted by Kalamazoo Gourmet, the baddest grills ever…..
….should set the Wintertime vibe for those of us who will be " Chillin' and Grillin' " this winter 🙂

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel": When buying shrimp try to get wild caught shrimp as opposed to farm raised, as wild caught low in mercury, and farm raised is often imported, very high in toxins and contaminants read more. For the recipe below, with grassfed beef and organic ingredients, it is 5 star healthy as is, but I do wanna make note that I use Papaya Enzymes to help digest beef.

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel": For Above Recipe, get Wild Caught Salmon, which is very low in mercury. For recipe below, I try to avoid soy at all times, but I keep this homemade soy sauce recipe on file. Also in recipe below, avoid the ketchup mentioned in the recipe, most all ketchup is loaded with high fructose corn syrup.

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel": For recipe above, I hate when they list "vegetable oil" in any recipe. NEVER NEVER use Crisco, Wesson, or that poison Canola Oil, all you ever need is Olive oil and Coconut Oil to cook with. For recipe below with a pasture raised/free range chicken, organic ingredients, and Pink Himalayan Salt, the recipe is good to go.

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel": For recipe above, I try to avoid soy at all times, but I keep this homemade soy sauce recipe on file. Also for above, I use Papaya Enzymes to help digest beef. For recipe below, a good trick I learned when grilling fish is to grill the skewers on top of lemon or lime slices so the fish doesn't sick to the grate.

….about the outdoor grilling area
Located high above downtown Fargo, North Dakota, this rooftop packs a lot of living into a compact space, and gives the homeowners the ability to entertain outdoors all year long.
Their love of cooking is evident in the outdoor kitchen that is at the heart of the 793-square-foot space. A K500HB Hybrid Fire Grill provides the fire for their favorite meal of ribeye and grilled asparagus. Weather-tight cabinetry, an outdoor refrigerator and a sink keep the homeowner close to their ingredients and utensils, avoiding the need to leave guests and run indoors to get supplies.
Basalt in the floor tiles and around the fireplace, ipe wood in the railings and pergola, raw steel in the structural pieces and a “garden” of native prairie plants creates a durable, sustainable and clean design the homeowner calls “urban prairie.” Screens made of steel, recycled glass and LED lights provide some privacy and protection from prairie winds.

(and remember to try, if but just a little, at making your tasty grill treats a little healthier……..then you got the best of both worlds 🙂 )
