…one nomad [myself] “non-vicariously” enjoying the travels of another nomad [Lee Litumbe]
Hey, I won't lie, I enjoy the many "accolades" of readers telling me I have inspired and/or motivated them in some way through my web-spot…..but hey, us bloggers need to be inspired sometimes!
I have so little time to follow anyone over the web, but I really love what Ms. Lee Litumbe is doing over at Lee's "Spirited Pursuit" website.
Part of the reason is she is my inspiration, is she is already doing what I wanna do in the next level of my website, my twist being something like a "Food Channel meets Travel Channel" web-adventure.
But, I'll get there when I get there, and in the mean time, I'm just enjoying her amazing photography and travel stories. I'm fiercely opposed to living vicariously through anyone on the web, but it's fun to take a break from my own web "point of view", and look at the world through some else's eyes.
Lee said she was never planning to come to Western Canada, but had some "relationship woes", and happened to run across a photo of Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada from a Pinterest page.
Lee said "Much to my own surprise, that was enough to spark my interest. Who knew I'd ever want to take a trip with the sole purpose of being out in nature? Certainly not me."
Lee goes on to say…. "I'd originally intended to venture to Lake Louise solo, but I decided to reach out to my childhood friend Brenda (who lives in Edmonton), hoping we could reconnect and make it a bonding experience".
"…… And you know what, I’m SO GLAD I DID! Fast forward several months and we had solidified our plans to meet in Calgary then road trip through the great province of Alberta together. "
p.s. The "Bathroom Horror Story" in her article is hilarious 🙂
