Okay, as a youthful 50 years old, I thought I had it going on, zipping up and down the basketball court at the gym like a 30 year old, but Wendy Ida is putting all of us to shame.
But I ain't "hating", just embracing, admiring, and being inspired, so welcome Wendy Ida to my elite "Fifty, Fit , and Fabulous" Club, (see links at bottom)
More amazing is that she is Fifty Plus Ten, that is, she over 60 !!!!
She's great looking, OK, that's stating the obvious……
….but it's that passion, drive, and love of wellness and fitness that is so attractive and inspiring to me.

In her bio on her website it proclaims that although Wendy Ida may appear “over the top” in her dedication to fitness, health and self empowerment, she has not forgotten her own journey from despair to triumph.
She is a Domestic Violence Survivor who was in poor shape bad health and had low self esteem.
Considering all her life she was four dress sizes larger than she is today, and gained an additional 50 pounds after having two children back to back, she is grateful to have beaten the odds.
She didn’t begin her own exercise regime until age 43, but she has managed to improve her health, lose 80 pounds and dwindle down to a rock-solid size 4 and hold onto it as a grandmother!
After going through so much,as pertains to being a victim of domestic violence, Wendy made that most important motivational statement when she says "You have to take your life back….."
______________________________________________________
….and according to Wendy, "Taking back your life", applies to health, nutrition, and wellness also
I agree with the comment on her website that says………
……"It’s no wonder why Wendy feels sharing her self taught approach to mental readiness, self worth and teaching, preaching and inspiring others to live their potential can not only change the world, but it is her reason for living".
Wendy days in the first video below, "I absolutely feel better now, at 62 years old, in a bikini , than I did when I was 33!!!" [she may be saying “63”, I can’t tell which number she’s saying, but Whatever!!!]
…I'm a very active and youthful 50+ male, and though others may think she is just making that statement up, I know it's actually achievable, truthful, and from the heart!!!
[below] Wendy acting a fool (said with affection 🙂 ) in the video below. Too cute, and Too funny!!! This video was shot in 2016, so that would make Wendy 63-64 in this video below, but if you click and watch, you'll see there's no need to split hairs with her exact age 🙂

thanks for posting stories about these amazing women. I just turned 50 and have been bodybuilding for six years. it has helped in every aspect of my life. I am always looking for information about what is possible regarding health and fitness for women my age. Then I try to pass it on to others.
Hey LittleE,
I never thought those stories would take off like they did. They are perhaps my most popular group of articles on the blog. It’s good to see some many people motivated and inspired by these women. A couple of over 50 women have actually told me these women actually motivated them get off their butts and start working out……..and that’s never a bad thing.
Fifty ain’t nothing !!!

All I can say is WOW!!! I'm blown away! You are such ab inspiration to me. Absolutely beautiful. I will be 50 in 6 months, Lord willing. I have a goal and its to respect myself and my health til God calls me home. I came across you picture and saw you were 60! OMG! I needed to know more. What you are doing is such a beautiful thing! Thank you!
I just stumbled across your and, in particular, this article a few days ago. I’m 53 years old and embarked upon my fitness/wellness journey around 7 years ago. I’ve remained motivated throughout; however, over the past few months I found that motivation waning a tad. Thankfully, with the new year came a mental reset, and I’m pumped and killing it again! I purposely looked for fit women over 50, which drew me to your blog. I have off-and-on aspirations of attempting competitive bodybuilding (or at the least, to look like I could–haha). I had all but dismissed those aspirations, until I found your blog and this article. Thank you for sharing your obvious passion for health, good eating and fitness. I’ll look forward to finding myself on your “wall of fame” someday.
Happy 2017!!
Hi Wanda,
My fingertips and keyboard are here waiting to write about you!!!
As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, these Fifty, Fit and Fab articles are the post popular articles on my blog, I didn’t see that coming, but the lady readers (and men) want me to keep cranking them out, so there we are…
But with many things in life, we slack off a bit, and our instincts tell us to jump back in, so it’s probably your time to jump back in. GO FOR IT!!!
Good Luck!!!

Your Comments Thanks for posting. Wendy’s body has greatly inspired me.
And I like her catch phrase
“Taking my life back”
Hi Angeline Yongo,
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. I use that phrase a lot myself.

I just came across this article as I was surfing on Pinterest looking for weight loss tips. I am so amazed at all of you all and how beautiful you are and the amazing bodies at the young ages I see. I have a birthday coming up soon and I would love to get some information on how and what I would need to do to lose weight. You all are my motivation to look lose the weight. Thank you!
Hi Shenita,
I’m just posting articles on these ladies, you might have to go out to their websites to get information directly from them. Several of the Fifty+, Fit and Fabulous crew have information that you might have to pay for and other information to purchase like on-line wellness coaching, videos and such, you’ll have to see if it is worth the expense.
However, my website is not-for-profit, so I do want to leave you with some things to get started thinking about (we shouldn’t always have to pay for information on getting healthy). Some good reads on the subject on my site that might be helpful are as follows……
